Reiki was developed in Japan and is administered by laying of hands. It is based on the idea that all living things have special energy flowing through them, called Life Energy. When life energy is high you feel strong, confident, and relaxed. When it is low, you feel tired more easily affected by stress and less resistant to illness. Reiki treatment promotes physical, emotional, mental, and energetic balance.
Reiki and Energy Therapies include clearing of energy fields, thereby, creating emotional and physical balance.

Signature massage therapy treatments include integration of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Medical Massage Therapy, Neuromuscular (Trigger Point) Therapy, Joint Range of Motion and Stretching Techniques. Prenatal is provided upon request.

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a specific technique designed to relax the entire body. Use of a firm, but lighter pressure on the muscles creates a means for better circulation. This is the best option for total relaxation.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Firmer pressure and slow strokes are designed to relieve chronic aches and pains, and contracted areas such as the neck, back and shoulders.
Medical Massage Therapy
Rehabilitative care and pain management are essential to medical massage. Techniques vary with injury, or issue and is based on the needs of the client. Medical massage is tailored to your specific goals.

Wow is all I can say about Michiko. She is amazing. I have just moved into the area and the move has triggered the sciatica in my leg. I had been on crutches for two days. Yesterday I went to my chiro (who is amazing) and spent time on the decompression table and that helped, but I needed more. Michiko worked wonders I am now (just an hour later) walking without issue. I am able to resume my unpacking from my move. She is truly incredible. Michiko is a graduate of the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado, The University of Colorado and Quantum University for Integrative Medicine. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and she is a Certified Reiki Practitioner. She started Tranquil Touch soon after her graduation from massage school in 2002. As a 19-year practitioner of massage therapy, she has experience with spas and medical offices, but she has most enjoyed her private practice. Michiko has a nurturing touch and a relaxed, professional presence that allows her to work with a rich diversity of clients. She utilizes a variety of massage and energy healing methods including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Medical Massage Therapy, Neuromuscular (Trigger Point) Therapy, Joint Range of Motion and Stretching Techniques as well as Prenatal Massage.
